Three Of The Most Understood Game Glitches For Three Successful Xbox 360 Games
Developers for the Xbox 360 continue to make new video game content for its supporters. As with all content made on a console, not all the games are worthy of accolades and praises from gamers because some have a couple of story and game play problems. Some games may have a perfect story, but others typically miss some glitches in the final build of the game. It is a goal for all software engineers to discover and remove all the glitches in the game, but even the most successful games for the Xbox typically have a few glitches programmers missed. Some may not be so catastrophic that they ruin the game play, but some do produce some unfair disadvantages for online players.
Halo 3
When Halo 3 released, it signified the end of an era for the Xbox 360 shooter. People all across the country waited outside of Best Buy, GameStop and any other store that sold games in anticipation of the midnight launch of the game. While the game surpassed pre-order records and went on to become a hit for the console, the final build of the game managed to include some glitches that programmers should have removed. For instance, the “Atomic Grenade” glitch made it feasible for gamers to blow up everyone on the map during a Forge game, while other glitches, such as the invisible gun glitch, allowed two players to make one gun disappear. Developers of the game must have held some sort of load testing to remove most of the glitches, but as with every game, removing all the glitches is impossible.
Red Dead Redemption
The creators of the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar, took players to south Texas and placed them into the chaps of outlaw turned hero John Marston. Millions of fans went out and bought a copy of the game, while dozens of reviewers cheered it for its awesome game play and enthralling story. Of course, the game did include glitches, such as a teleportation glitch that permitted gamers to warp to different locations while playing multiplayer. Other glitches include the barrier breaker, where players could venture beyond out-of-bounds areas of the Mexico/US border, while the dummy horse glitch permitted two players to ride on one horse during multiplayer.
Resident Evil 5
Chris Redfield made a comeback and was on the hunt for more zombies in his quest to stop bio-weapons from getting into the wrong hands. However, he discovered a few unexpected glitches along the way, such as being able to copy weapons that gave a player more ammo. Engineers who employed load testing tools to detect glitches may not have seen these mistakes, but it made for a pleasant upside for the player.
