How To Find The Best StarCraft 2 Build Order
StarCraft 2 is about to become one of the most popular esports ever and thousands of players are polishing their skills to get a piece of the rising price pools and tournament prices.
Do you want to join the competitive league and beat other players? Then let me give you some tips on your basic strategy: Your build orders. I want to show you some of the most effective build orders and how to execute them.
First of all let’s take a lool at a StarCraft 2 Zerg build order. People call it the Two Hatch Hydralisk build order. It concentrates on an economic advantage and strong units early in the game. Of course you can only execute this BO if your enemy is not going for a very early push or even a rush. You can scout your enemy and decide if you want to go on or switch to a different build order.
The 2 Hatch Hydra can be stopped by a StarCraft 2 Protoss build order that counters the 2 Hatch Hydra and it’s called the fast Void Ray build. Since you are going to build a second hatchery before upgrading to Lair and building air defenses you would be unable to defend against an early Void Ray attack.
Of course the Terran players have a counter strategy as well. The popular StarCraft 2 Terran build order is called Reaper Rush or Fast Reapers and it’s a threat that can kick you out of the game very early.
That’s why it’s absolutely necessary to scout your enemy early on and find out which tech buildings he is building or not building. Even missing units and buildings give you a clue. If there is no unit producing building in the base even after some minutes of playing time it’s pretty obvious that the enemy is hiding the Barracks/Gateway somewhere on the map to confuse you or surprise you with his attack.
If you manage to fast expand and tech to Hydras without getting disturbed you will have both the economical advantage and a strong and versatile Zerg Hydra army.
